I painstakingly started a race to see if it was just a menu bug, but in race mode, I only see the minimap and HUD:ĭoes anyone else have this issue, or have a fix for this? I'd love to be able to play Carma 2 again. Only the cursor stays visible as long as I move it. However, when the menus load, I only see them for a split second, after wich the entire screen goes black. NGlide Showed promise by starting up both with sound and in fullscreen stretch. One glide emulator forces the game screen to keep it's original size in a teeny-tiny box in center-screen ( not necessarily a glide issue, perhaps an ATI-related thing ), I'd need a magnifying glass to play properly.

Either I can play without sound using D3D, or with sound but with graphical bugs using Glide emulators. I have been trying to get carmageddon 2 running on my laptop ( windows 7 64 bit, ATI Radeon HD4670 ) without any succes. Oh and another note the support page says the game needs to be set to a resolution of 640-480 in the compatibility tab, but actually, when using the super-patch v2 the mouse issue in the menu is fixed. (seems I have a habbit of posting things in the wrong topics, this is better in the suggestions thread, but I thought it would save posting twice.) May I ask whay you are aiming for this? I say this because, compared to zeckenecks wrapper, I am really missing the high res support. On the main page I read that the wrapper will be as close to the original glide support as possible, with no configuration and high resolution support. This has been a problem for a lot of people, so nGlide is a definate must for win7 users. It has stayed under the radar for a couple of months appearantly, but is sure made my day when we found it.Ĭarma runs great on XP and partially vista with zeckenecks, but it doesn't work that well on win 7. Now that I am on the subject of carma 2 Me and the guys from the carma 2 modding community were surprized to see this wrapper just the other day.

Hope you can sort the issue, so I can run my custom mods with this wrapper on any system The map is visible though, but I still have huge lagg when in map-view. I'm running carma on my laptop's nvidia Geforce 9200M, using windows Vista 32bit. Save, Right-click game.exe again, and choose “Run as administrator”.Īfter doing this, my copy of the game worked perfectly.I am having the same problem. Then right click game.exe and choose Properties/Compatibility/Run this program in Windows XP Service Pack 3.

dll files in folder “MS” directly to Theme Park Inc/SimCoaster’s main folder – the one with game.exe in it. You can get them here: (Main page:, file “dgVoodoo v2.54”)ĭownload that, unzip, and copy the. Possibly not!īasically, the reason the game doesn’t run is simply because there are graphics files Windows no longer includes that the game needs. It’s possible you may need a no-CD crack of some sort, so be warned here.
Carmageddon 2 cursor problem how to#
This isn’t so much a request as a public service announcement, as I just discovered to how to get working on Windows 10 one of the more stubborn games out there – Theme Park Inc aka SimCoaster, the final game from legendary studio Bullfrog. The game should load as normal after installation. Once installed, move the folder to the location you want, and re-direct the shortcuts to the new location. Changing the directory will crash the installer and you need to force close it and retry.
Carmageddon 2 cursor problem install#
Once in the installer, DO NOT change the directory, instead select the install mode you want (minimum or normal) to proceed with the install. You may need to try the test a few times, but it should then run the installer. Select to run with the recommended settings, and try testing it. To bypass the no ssp.ini error, try running the installer with windows program compatibility troubleshooter. In return, I offer advise for Virtua Cop 2 which I had issues installing on Windows 10, and figure others may be stuck like I was: Funnily enough, I have The House of the Dead 2 working fine. The House of the Dead 3 – Will install but doesn’t seem to do anything when I try to launch the game (just a busy mouse cursor for a second then nothing).īoth of which I can’t see any patches or a work around that actually works (compatibility modes don’t work).

Carmageddon 2 cursor problem 64 Bit#
The House of the Dead – Comes up with a 16 bit installer error, which I can’t run on my Windows 10 64 bit machine (and I don’t have access to a 32bit PC)

I have 2 requests that I’ve recently been having issues with recently (all on Windows 10 (64 bit version):
